Using the game
1in8b.net provides a free browser simulation for entertainment and learning. You do not need to buy an upgrade or create an account. Payments, paid cloud storage, and paid keepsake checkout are not available on this site.
A simulation, not a prediction
The game combines published statistics, model assumptions, and random events. A simulated person is fictional. National averages do not describe every community or individual, and a game outcome is not a medical, financial, legal, or demographic forecast. Some historical or missing values use estimates and regional averages.
Content and classroom use
Stories can include illness, death, conflict, discrimination, and difficult family events. Classroom mode limits heavier themes and disables public posting. A teacher or parent should review the experience for their group. You can pause, start again, or stop playing at any time.
Public submissions
Only submit material you are entitled to share. Do not post personal information, impersonation, harassment, illegal material, spam, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Posting makes your selected game content and message visible to other visitors. You keep any rights in your own writing and allow this service to store and display it for the feature you requested.
Moderation and removal
We may remove abusive submissions and restrict misuse of the service. You can manage your own items using the browser’s retained management key. To report a public item, send its URL and the reason to contact@1in8b.net.
Availability and saved data
Browser storage can be lost when you clear data, switch devices, or use a different browser. We cannot promise continuous availability or permanent storage of public material. Keep your own copy of anything you want to retain. The site and its model can change as corrections and improvements are made.
